This is a question for us all – and one on the minds of many right now.   We enter this world, a mewling infant, at the centre of our own universe, connected to our mother. As children we learn to play, share and “be nice” to others. As we explore outwards, our will is shaped through discipline. We learn our teenage desires and preferences are not those of others. Everywhere we look, signs of spring surround us. From my office window I can watch as ragdoll lambs in the fields gambol clumsily around their mothers. The sun is rising earlier and lingers longer. A little cherry blossom still clings on after last week’s unexpected winds. And the warm yellows of daffodils dot the greening fields.   This is all very familiar. None of it is a surprise.
