TRINITY FORUM GLASGOW

Turnbull Hall - Glasgow.jpeg

With the help of Sophie Spedden, Trinity Forum Glasgow began in September 2024. Now, with a growing Scriptorium community, and Stephen Mackay at the helm, public events will begin this Spring – engaging important topics of life, culture and ethics.

The Scriptorium meets Wednesdays at Turnbull Hall (15 Southpark Terrace G12 8LG). It is open to all postgraduate students. For more information, please email glasgow@trinityforumeurope.com.

WHAT IS THE SCRIPTORIUM?

The Scriptorium is a community of students, who gather together for structured days of research and writing. Inspired by the monastic practice of a "liturgy of hours," the day includes set times for personal work, and then breaks together. Tea, coffee and lunch are provided.

The day is designed to inspire academic progress, not add one more obligation. For many, the Scriptorium has met a keenly felt need for structure and community, as they engage in what can be isolating research projects. The Scriptorium includes morning, midday, and closing Christian readings and prayer, while being open to students of all faiths and none.
